Stylin'

This year at Little Bit of Christmas we didn't find much, but what we did find Sky Loved!! We found these cute feather bands that you can use for a couple different things. Skylee put'em on and the first thing out of her mouth was, "Mom! I'm Stylin' "
They are super cute, but there is one thing I don't like about them.....This happens everytime she wears them.

Above Cloud 9 !!!

If there were a cloud higher than Cloud 9 Sky would sitting right on it right now. No I take that back she would be sitting on the cloud above the cloud higher than Cloud 9 ;) Did I lose anybody yet? In other words she is ecstatic right now. Her Grammy and Papa bought her and her cousins a new pony today. He is a Welsh pony and he is beautiful. Sky can't stop kissing him. His name is Comanche and he is a white and red paint. Skylee has really taken up with horses from birth. Horses are the first thing that comes out of her mouth in the morning and the last thing that comes out of her mouth before bed. She loves them!

Introducing Comanche!!!

Skylee Kissing Comanche!

Thank you so much, Grammy and Papa! You guys are the BEST!!!

Locks of Love

I have what you can call somewhat of a bucket list. I'm not planning on dying anytime soon, but there are a few things that I have always wanted to do before I do. And one of these items I can cross off my list tonight. It was to donate my hair to Locks of Love. I have always been passionate about this one. So for the past 2 years I have been growing my hair out just to in turn, cut it all off. Patience is a very valuable quality and I have had plenty thus far. Well up until tonight anyway! I scheduled hair appointments for me, Sky, and Doss tonight and when we got there I had Sabrina measure to see if it was long enough. All I needed was 10 inches and sure enough I had 10 inches to spare. ONLY 10 INCHES to spare at that!! I told Sabrina, "Let's go for it!" So we did and now I'm kinda wishing my patience would have lasted a couple months longer. But oh well. My new motto is, "It's only hair~It will grow!" So here are some pics to walk you through my first checked off item on my so called bucket list.

BeforeCheesy Pic I know. But I had to have it ;)
Sky got to do the honors of the first cut!
Take a look at her haircut.
It turned out beautiful :)
And this is all you get to see of it.
If you wanna see the outcome, maybe we will run into each other soon.
Hint: Its shorter than it has ever been.
But remember, "It's only hair~It will grow!" If you ever get the urge to donate to Locks of Love check out this link.

Rake Leaves? Useless!!!

Around my house this time of year the green grass turns to brown leaves. There is no sign of the ground anywhere. So I decided to rake up some leaves while the kids were playing around me. And everytime I got a good pile going......
THIS HAPPENED!!!!!

I love childhood!
I absolutely love watching my kids laugh out loud and play to their fullest.

Doss thought this was the coolest thing ever. I think by the time we went back inside he had picked up every single leaf we had in the yard.

As you can tell my nephew Caden enjoyed it also :)

These are the days I could sit back and enjoy forever.
They are going by entirely too fast.
I love you kids! Ya'll are my World!

Halloween Fun!!

Introducing Little Miss Shirley Temple Skylee has really shown an interest in Shirley Temple movies this year. So what better for her to be for Halloween, then Shirley Temple herself! At the looks of this picture I have no idea what I am going to do with my Skylee Brooke. She was really playing the part! This is the first year that Brandon has gotten to join us for the trick-or-treating so we made the best of it ;)
He was not the happiest camper ;) But always a great sport! This is the kiddos at Grammy and Papas house before we went to trick-or-treat our 2 houses that we were going to. Yeah I said 2 houses!
What was I thinking curling Sky's hair for an hour just to
trick-or-treat 2 houses?
Oh well, those 2 houses got to see how darn cute my kids were. ;)Gettin a little bit of extra Papa lovins before we hit the road. This is my serious chicken! Never cracks a smile in this suit. What am I saying, it takes a lot for him to crack a smile in any suit ;) But I can get him to do it. Love HIM!!! On our way to our last house! Skylee got the best Halloween treat at our first house. We trick-or-treated "Our" Patty's moms house and she had Skylee a Shirley Temple Paper Doll Book Set! Sky absolutely loved it. And Doss got lots and lots and lots of gum and a tractor. Your mom is so super sweet Patty!

Then we arrived at my Grandma's house.
I think this is where my mom gets her obsession with Halloween.
Grandma is the life of trick-or-treating!
She dresses up every year and when the kids come to her door
to get candy they never know what to do.
I love you Grandma, your the best.
Introducing "Grandma" I don't know what she is dressed up as? ;)
This is 5 of the 10 and 1/2 Great-Grand kids!
The whole gang that dressed up this year. Yeah we are a CrAzY bunch ;) But we have fun!
Can't leave a gathering without every group picture possible.
My Halloween Sweeties! I could just eat them up!
This is My Papa.
He always just sits back and watches Grandma scare all the neighborhood kids ;)
And this here is the BEST DAD in the World!!! I love you Dad!
Doss knows which one to go to! Papa will always open up his candy for him!
"Right where I wanna be!" There is no better place then between Grammy and Papa. This is the kiddos divvying up their candy stashes. I love these days of their lives.
And this is Super girl taking her dad on a flight around town ;)
I hope that you have enjoyed our Halloween night! I know that we did!

Just For Your Enjoyment ;)

Me and the kiddos sat down tonight, after a long day of holding and cuddling with Doss because he was under the weather, and put in a movie that we have had for almost two months now. Yes Bran and I have a subscription to Netflix and we forget to watch the movies. Plus we also forget to send them back to get new ones. So in all honesty we could probably just buy the movies out right, not pay the subscription every month, and come out ahead. Anyway back on point! The movie that we were putting in was Evan Almighty. Right after we got sat down with our popcorn, snuggled in, and the movie started, I glanced out the window and noticed the most beautiful rainbow. What a coincidence, huh!?!? We thought it was pretty cool. Anyway, I know that I already have a post about my kids with a rainbow, but there is just
something about these things that I love ;)
It was absolutely magnificent!!!While Doss and I were admiring the front yard, Sky had ran around to look at the back. And much to our surprise it was just as beautiful. So here are a few shots I took. I hope you enjoy. We sure did!! :)

All this also comes from the LORD Almighty,
wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom-Isaiah 28:29

Sky's First Concert!!!

I am fixing to share with you guys my daughters first concert experience! But first off I would like to ask you to keep my best friend Nikki and her son in your prayers. He turned 4 on Saturday and had a wonderful birthday party, but after the party he went home to check out all of his gifts and tried on a pair of roller blades that he got and had an accident. Needless to say he broke his leg and is in a lot of pain. So please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers so that Cash will be able to get back to his bubbly self again soon. We love you Cash and are praying for a very quick recovery.

For Skylee's 3rd birthday she had a sleepover with 8 of her closest girlfriends!!! It was so much fun!! But to top the party off, a special guest popped in for a quick concert. It was none other than the, "Hannah Montana!" Hannah and Lola danced around with the girls and sang a few songs. Skylee was star-struck! ;) We didn't get a chance to go see her in concert last year so when we heard that Miley was coming to a city near us we decided to settle for her. The closer time got to the concert the more nervous I got. Like for instance....

1. Will Sky's ears take it? (She has very sensitive ears, when we go to public bathrooms she puts her hands on her ears and flushes with her elbow.)

2. Can Charity and I drive to Little Rock by ourselves? (Neither of us do much of that.)

3. Will Sky be able to stay awake for it? (You will see in a moment that this one was a bit iffy.)

4. Will Miley be appropriate for my 4 year old? (This was the BIG one!!)

So here we go!!! I am going to show you our Miley Cyrus Concert Journey! This is us on the way. There are gonna be lots of pics so bear with me ;)

We listened to the Miley Cyrus CD all the way because the only songs Sky and I knew were Party In The USA and Fly On The Wall. We were trying to learn them quickly

;) So this is Sky singing Party In The USA!We couldn't decide where to eat so we settled for Olive Garden.
We love their salad and bread sticks! This was us waiting outside for our table. It was such a beautiful day.
I love this little girl ;) We couldn't have had any better company with us than my sister and my niece Jacie and Charity! Jacie cracked us up when she dropped her crayons on the floor and went under the table to get them and came up saying, "Wow we are in a real restaurant, they have carpet on the floor!"Here we are again! This is us walking up to the arena! The girls were super excited!!!!!Sky holding her ticket waiting to get in!And here we are!! All decked out in our $35 Miley shirts and $10 light up sticks that are a dollar at the dollar store. But what do you do? This was her first concert :) This was our view. We had pretty good seats :0) Sky is ready and waiting!!!!Too much waiting actually. She feel asleep before the first show!I debated on posting this picture but here is Miley's Brother Chase that opened for her.
Yeah not really our cup of tea. He was more of a Hard Rock kind of guy. Then the show began! I was told by many different people that went to the Memphis show that previous Wednesday that this show was very risque. So I was on the look out for the provocative moves and we were prepared to leave early. Charity and I debated on even going, but since we had already bought the tickets and the girls were excited we decided that we could just leave if need be. And it turned out that she must have gotten in trouble from the Memphis show or she just toned it down for Little Rock because it was a very kid friendly show. Well minus her short, short, shorts. But at least she wasn't showing anything.
So here are some pics from the concert.
Miley flying over the crowd during the song Fly On The Wall! Sky thought that was pretty cool.

Throw Your Hands In The Air--Party In The USA!!!

In the end, we had a really good time. It was great to get away with my sis and the girls and have a girls night! But we will probably just strictly stay with Hannah Montana from now on to be on the safe side ;)
